Xebia looks for people with high degree of aptitude in problem solving using software. We look for the candidates who have clear thoughts and structured thinking when it comes to problem solving. We also want future Xebians to be communicative, energetic and not afraid of asking challenging questions. Our hiring process also checks if you can fit in our working culture where freedom with responsibility and respect for individuals irrespective of hierarchy are the main beliefs.
Some of the important steps in our hiring process have been described here in detail:
We screen your CV to get a quick overview of your academic record, past employers, previous projects and your current skill set. We reject candidates several times because their CVs do not clearly highlight their technical experience. Similar CVs with spelling and grammatical mistakes are also rejected. In general while screening your CV, we prefer those candidates who have done graduation from top 100 engineering colleges in India. However, in several cases we have made an exception because the candidate’s work experience and aptitude was very impressive. Candidates who have studied abroad or working abroad and now interested in returning to India are also preferentially considered.
Technical assessments usually take place in the Gurgaon office of Xebia. If you have been invited for technical assessment then please be prepared to spend 4-5 hours with us. We ask you to work on a problem depending upon your technical background and experience level.
Xebia provides you a laptop with internet connection to work on the technical assignment. We also welcome you to bring your own laptop if you like.
After you have finished your technical assessment, two Xebians will conduct your deep technical interview. This interview may last up to two hours. In this interview, we discuss the results of technical assessment as well as we examine your technical knowledge in detail.
In your personal interview, we discuss your general background, career ambitions, compensation and notice period. We also provide you feeback about the previous interview round if you request us to do so. Personal interview is conducted only if Deep Technical Interview results are positive.
